The 10-year-old will be the star of a two-day live show on May 24–25 at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The Lion King features North West on stage!
The 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made her stage debut as Young Simba on May 24 at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as part of Disney’s The Lion King live event, which honored the film’s 30th anniversary.
North was beaming as she performed “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from the cartoon movie on stage, her family members cheering her on from the audience.
North appeared to be every bit the King of the Pride Lands, decked out in a pale yellow furry hood, matching shorts, fuzzy boots, and a buttoned sweater. Jennifer Hudson, the concert’s special guest, also joined her on stage.
North sang her song in a video that was posted on X (previously Twitter), emerging from behind some prop leaves that the dancers were holding. She then strolled boldly across the stage, following the costumed dancers as they performed dance moves.
On May 24, Kim Kardashian, 43, North’s mother, expressed her excitement on Instagram Stories. She shared a picture of cookies inspired by The Lion King, with a charming icing depiction of North next to Young Simba. She also posted photos of flowers that Kris Jenner and her great-grandmother Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon gave to North.
It was revealed earlier this month that North will be participating in Disney’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary – A Live-to-Film Concert Event, a unique two-day event. The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl is a special set that will air onDisney+ during this amazing concert, which takes place from May 24 to May 25.
The daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West shared the stage with newcomers Heather Headley and Lebo M. in addition to original cast members Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons, and Nathan Lane. Not to mention, 42-year-old Jennifer Hudson paid a unique guest appearance.
North’s most recent appearance at the Rolling Loud festival in March came just after her stage act of “Talking” from her father Kanye’s new album, Vultures. She had just announced the release of her debut album when she gave that performance.
