Home Free’s a cappella group presents their patriotic performance of “God Bless The USA,” which includes Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force Band.
Lee Greenwood first published “God Bless The USA” in 1984. Lee was always inspired to compose a patriotic song, and after Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was shot down, he realized it was time to bring the country together.
The song started off strong on the country charts, but it wasn’t until the September 11 attacks that it really took off.
“And I’m proud to be an American because I know that I’m free at least, and I will never forget the men who gave me that right.”
The American a cappella group Home Free participated in The Sing-Off’s fourth season and emerged victorious. Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance make up the band Home Free, which has been releasing their distinctive sound for years.
They’re teaming up with renowned vocalist Lee Greenwood and The US Air Force Band today for a unique rendition of “God Bless The USA.”
