Ilderton’s departure from the show isn’t the first surprising exit this season. Ahead of the Knockouts stage, Tanner Frick, another standout contestant, also left the competition unexpectedly.

“The Voice” host Carson Daly informed coach Michael Bublé that Tanner Frick left the competition after rehearsals, leaving Bublé with two remaining contestants, Cameron Wright and Sloane Simon.

Frick wowed the coaches during his audition with a powerful rendition of Morgan Wallen’s “Thought You Should Know.” His performance earned the rare distinction of a four-chair turn, as all the coaches—Stefani, Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire—were captivated by his talent.

Each coach passionately vied for Frick to join their team, recognizing the potential and artistry in his voice. “Tanner Frick was a huge win for me,” Bublé said at the time.
