For those unaware with this particular piece of jungle history, the I’m a Celebrity... jungle shower became notorious back in 2006 when singer and TV show host Myleene Klass stepped under the cold water in a white bikini and left thirsty viewers up and down the nation gobsmacked by the sight.

Despite the fact that Klass was just a woman in a swimming costume taking a shower, the moment has remained a key moment in I’m a Celebrity... lore, with ‘bikini’ coming up as one of the suggestions when you type the now 46-year-old’s name into Google.
Plenty of other celebrities have since attempted to cash in on the moment over the following years, with the likes of Katie Price and even Nigel Farage stripping off for the shower.
However, the world has since moved on and several of the I’m a Celebrity… 2024 stars have now shared their thoughts on the situation – with one even branding the idea ‘cringy’.
Speaking about their shower plans in an interview with The Mirror ahead of her jungle stint, N-Dubz singer and former X-Factor judge Tulisa revealed she thought that playing up to the cameras while in the shower was ‘mad cringy’.
“If you overdo it, it just feels mad cringy to me. I don’t feel like Myleene, years ago, had that in mind,” the 36-year-old explained, adding that she would only be taking black bikinis into the jungle.

Ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Mabuse was in agreement when it came to the shower situation, adding: “I don’t intend on being that gal in the papers. That’s not me. I’m probably going to wear a full blown out costume with some trousers.”
Meanwhile, GK Barry appears to be taking a more relaxed approach to the shower situation despite speaking to ITV bosses about the particular moment. “They said to me that they don’t really do that anymore,” the podcaster, whose real name is Grace, revealed.
However, the 25-year-old did add that she had packed a handful of bikinis for the shower, just in case.
The three women’s sentiments were echoed by I’m a Celebrity… producer Olly Nash, who added: “It’s funny, they have all asked about that this year, but most people just cover themselves up. And it’s absolutely changed.
“I think the whole world has changed, hasn’t it A lot over the years, and people are less likely to get in there and want to flaunt themselves.”
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! starts on Sunday September 17 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

So, Jamie Lynn Spear is the next star to leave the jungle in this year’s I’m a Celeb…
The singer follows in Grace Dent’s footsteps after she quit a couple of days ago on medical grounds.
Her departure appears to have been brewing for a while, with Spears visibly upset in camp, seemingly struggling with the harsh conditions. Which is understandable.
And in a statement, a spokesperson praised Spears for her performance but said she also had to leave the show for health reasons.
“Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds,” the statement read.
“She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
ITV
Now, following the two stars’ departures, the question has been raised over what it means for their pay packet.
This year, former MEP and raving Brexiteer, Nigel Farage, will reportedly take home £1.5 million for appearing on the show.
ITV tends keep its cards close to its chest when it comes to exact fees, but it’s safe to assume they’re not eating kangaroo b*****ks for free, isn’t it?
But what happens if celebs leave the show before being voted out?
Well, according to the Mirror, contestants must stay in the jungle for at least 72-hours to be given their fee in full and if someone leaves before that point then their pay cheque will be cut.
So with Dent and Spears lasting less than two weeks in the jungle, it appears that they would still be entitled to the full fee.
ITV
However, one celeb who didn’t get their full fee due to the pretty hard and fast rule was The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins when she quit the show after only three days, back in 2014.
At the time, it was rumoured Collins had been been offered £100,000 for her stint in the jungle, but a representative for the star later revealed that she didn’t actually get it.
Speaking following her departure, the rep confirmed: “I can confirm that the £4,800 fee was the full and final fee that Gemma received for her participation in last year’s I’m A Celebrity.
“The show is three weeks long and Gemma was in Australia for five days, therefore she will receive a percentage based on that.”
The star opted to donate the money in full to Save The Children.

The next King of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle is due to be crowned this evening – and after the coronation, comes the celebration.
On Sunday night, (10 December) either Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, 41-year-old Tony Bellew or ex-politician Nigel Farage will be voted as the winner of I’m A Celebrity 2023.
This series has featured everything – from explosive arguments to heartbreaking admissions, campmates allegedly eating paninis and early show exits.
But, of course, it all boils down to the final vote.
Regardless of whether Thompson, former boxer Bellew or 59-year-old Farage is bestowed with the title of jungle monarch, all three are expected to celebrate their achievements at the I’m A Celeb after-party.
Not a lot is known about this year’s official wrap festivities, however, snapshots from recent years could point to what the celebrities can expect to experience.
Last year, Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott stepped out alongside series 22 contestants Matt Hancock, Boy George and Scarlette Douglas in Queensland, Australia.
After scrubbing off that jungle muck, the group headed to a boozy after-party at a hotel, where they ate seafood and celebrated surviving the dreaded Bushtucker Trials.

Following last season’s party, Charlene White took to Instagram and wrote: “Last one standing after a food and wine-filled night with all the campmates, family & friends.”
On her Instagram Stories, she hinted that she and 45-year-old Tindall’s wife Zara experienced an alcohol-fuelled night together.
Uploading a picture of her and the equestrian, she wrote in overlay text: “Hazy memories from last night’s @imacelebrity wrap party…twinning with @zara_tindall.”
In another update, the Loose Women star also paid tribute to the former rugby union player.
She posted a video of Mike making a speech at the wrap party and claimed that she would ‘never have survived the early days of camp without him’.

She wrote: “His song lyrics knowledge is off the scale, his banter is top-tier, and he’s just incredibly kind and caring.
“And gives THE best hugs. I’m looking forward to seeing you back at our @loosewomen studio soon Vanilla Mike”
In previous years, Wayne Bridge and Ant McPartlin have posed for a sweet selfie together on the dance floor, while Jordan Banjo spent his freedom Down Under meeting up with Kiosk Kieth.
Strictly Come Dancing’s Adam Thomas celebrated leaving the I’m A Celeb jungle by chowing down on a McDonalds feast with his son in bed.

Posting to Instagram, he wrote: “Finally back with my boy and @caz_daly couldn’t be any more happier… Now time to eat what I want when I want!! Thanks again people.”

This evening serves as the final outing for the 2023 cohort of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestants.
This year’s series could well go down in history as the most decisive yet – what with Nigel Farage’s eye-watering appearance fee and Nella Rose’s argument with First Dates’ Fred Sirieix.
Elsewhere, Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears made headlines when they were unfortunately forced to hang up their hats early.
On the latter, an ITV spokesperson said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
The 32-year-old’s departure came just days after food critic Dent, 50, suddenly left for ‘medical reasons’.
The 23rd series of I’m A Celeb has been wild, to say the least, and tonight (December 10) we’re going to get a brand new King of the Jungle after Josie Gibson became the seventh celeb to leave the jungle last night.
Just like any other year, whoever wins will be gifted a crown, a staff, and the chance to sit on the iconic throne while lording it with their new title.
ITV
However, it has been revealed that the remaining stars – Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, ex-politician Nigel Farage or retired boxer Tony Bellew – will not be going home with a lucrative cash prize this season.
This is because ITV has decided that the celebrity contestants will only receive a flat fee for appearing on the show.
And the catch to getting this fee?
Campmates must have remained in the jungle Down Under for at least 72 hours to receive their fee in full, as per The Mirror.
Luckily, quitters Dent and Spears lasted over a week in camp, so they will receive their money in full.
So, this year the celebrity’s placement on the show doesn’t determine how much money they’re going to get… it’s literally down to how famous they are.
ITV
It’s reported that former UKIP and Brexit Party leader Farage will be taking home a staggering £1.5 million for taking part, which would make him the ‘highest paid’ campmate in I’m A Celeb history.
Brand and Culture expert Nick Ede told MailOnline that Dent will get an appearance fee of £100,000, while Spears could be getting up to £250,000.
Despite there being no cash prize for the new King of the Jungle, it’s still a shedload of money for ITV to fork out on a reality show, right?

ITV’s celebrity-filled jungle is back for another year of Bushtucker Trials and drama.
And with the return of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! comes the return of complaints regarding the show’s use of animals.
Of course, I’m A Celeb sees plenty of snakes, spiders, rats and other ‘creepy’ creatures used to freak out the campmates.
Maybe they’re buried underground with them, have to poke their hands into boxes filled with them or simply showered with the crawlies.
Either way, animals are arguably just as important to the ITV show as the celebrities themselves – this year’s including the likes of Tony Bellew, Fred Sirieix and Jamie Lynn Spears.
However, the RSPCA are urging viewers to complain about ‘worrying’ actions on I’m A Celeb.
The animal welfare charity write: “Every year, we’re faced with serious concerns about the use of animals, including snakes, insects and other live creatures during the filming of the show.”
Launching a #UnhappyCampers campaign again, it says over 20,000 people took action last year.
ITV
The RSPCA say: “With our previous calls for change ignored, we’re more concerned than ever about the use of live animals on the show and the example it sets for viewers.
“The show’s messaging and the potential to prompt people to try and copy the ‘bushtucker trials’ at home for entertainment is also worrying.
“We feel that deliberately portraying certain species as nasty or frightening or as objects that can be used purely for entertainment rather than sentient, living creatures sends out totally the wrong message.”
Concerned for the animals, the charity list what they experience on the show, including being ‘handled roughly’, ‘crushed’, ‘scared by contestants’ and ‘prevented from escaping stressful situations’.
As a result, the RSPCA are urging people to ‘take action to Ofcom’.
ITV
“While we understand that I’m a Celeb is a popular form of entertainment, we’re only asking producers to stop using living creatures in this capacity,” it writes.
“Please get involved by using the form below to let Ofcom know that harm to living creatures for I’m a Celebrity is unacceptable.”
In response, a show spokesperson said to LADbible: “We are always fully transparent about our protocols and we have a very strict environmental plan in place on the show.
“As a production, we comply with all regional and national laws concerning the use of insects, animals and reptiles.
“Welfare and safety is always the primary priority on any of our programmes, and at any Bushtucker trial that features animals, we have qualified and experienced animal handlers on site at all times.
“We inform the RSPCA NSW of all of our activities on the show and they have an open invitation to attend the site at any time.
“We cannot stress enough that we have rigorous protocols in place to ensure that animals are handled safely at all times, before, during and after any filming has taken place, in compliance with all regional and national laws.”
