Over the past couple of years, the business mogul faced a lot of challenges. He had two accidents. First, he fell down the stairs, and then he hurt his back badly in an electric scooter accident.
After this scary experience that left him hurt and needing back surgery, the musician and producer wanted to warn others about the risks of electric bikes. “The one I had was like a motorcycle with an electric engine, and you really need to wear a proper crash helmet and leather gear. It was crazy,” he explained. “I didn’t realize how powerful it was until I got on it. I flew 6-8 feet in the air and landed right on my back.”

He has been in a relationship with Lauren Silverman since 2013, who is not only his girlfriend but also the mother of his son. Simon shared with Hello Magazine, “Meeting Lauren and becoming a dad was the most fantastic thing to happen in my life. It’s hard when you have kids at my age but it’s amazing. When you work as hard as I do, you think, ‘What’s it all going to be for at the end?’ Then somebody like him comes along and it’s all worthwhile.”

“I plan to leave my money to someone else, probably a charity that helps kids and dogs. I don’t think it’s right to just pass it down to the next generation,” Simon shared with The Mirror. He also mentioned, “Your legacy should be about giving people chances to succeed and sharing your knowledge with them.”
Simon and Eric share many interests and really like hanging out together. The proud dad mentioned that they both have a passion for Scooby Doo and love to watch Disney movies as a team.
“He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I love him so much,” said the judge from America’s Got Talent.
Eric got his name from Simon’s dad, Eric Selig Phillip Cowell, who sadly passed away in 1999.
