Known as the 5 Star Boys, these talented dancers impressed audiences and judges on Britain’s Got Talent with their incredible performance.

Comprising Toby-Jay, Ollie, Joey, Beau, and Adam—ages 10 to 12—this group used their platform to send an important message: it’s perfectly okay for boys to dance.

The boys, from various parts of the UK, met at a dance event in Birmingham where they bonded over shared experiences. Together, they formed the 5 Star Boys to combat the stigma boys often face in dance.

Before their audition, Beau shared some of the challenges they encounter, saying, “It’s not always easy for us.”

Toby added, “Boys can dance if they want to. It doesn’t affect anyone else, and those who make fun are just jealous.”

In matching blue and white jackets, the boys exuded the style of a classic ’90s boy band. Their heartfelt and skillful performance captivated everyone.

Dancing to You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen, they combined interpretive dance, gymnastics, and ballet to deliver a routine that resonated deeply with the audience. The performance depicted a story of a boy feeling lonely, who ultimately finds love and acceptance among friends.

The judges were visibly moved. Simon Cowell called it “the best audition we’ve seen all day,” while Amanda Holden, teary-eyed, told them, “You’ve made me cry! It was amazing, and you should be so proud.” David Walliams deemed it “perfect,” and Alesha Dixon, holding back tears, said she loved every moment.

Their performance not only impressed the judges but also conveyed a powerful message: boys can dance too, and they should feel free to pursue their passion without judgment.

After the performance, Toby-Jay summed it up: “The point we want to make is that it’s totally fine for boys to dance—it’s not just a girls’ thing.” His words resonated with 10-year-old Alex, who had faced bullying over his love for dance. “I used to come home crying,” Alex shared. “Now that I’m on Britain’s Got Talent, maybe it’ll change.”

The courage and resilience of these young boys are truly inspiring. They’ve faced teasing and bullying, but now they’re reclaiming their love for dance on a national stage. Their performance was more than a showcase of talent—it was a statement of self-acceptance and strength for all boys who love dance.

As Simon Cowell put it, “You stand there now as five strong boys who can tell all those naysayers, ‘You can’t do what we just did.’”

With four enthusiastic “yeses” from the judges, the 5 Star Boys advanced to the next round. More importantly, they inspired countless viewers at home.

Their passion and determination have shown that outdated stereotypes have no place in the arts. These boys are proof that when you truly love something, no amount of criticism can hold you back.

As Toby-Jay wisely said, “No matter what people say or think, keep doing what you love.”

The boys will continue dancing their hearts out, and thanks to this unforgettable audition, they’ll be doing it on an even bigger stage from now on.

What an inspiring group of kids!
