Michael Jackson’s Son Reveals Why Their Father Made Them Wear MASKS to Hide Their FACES in Public: “I Only Realized Later That It Wasn’t Normal”

Michael Jackson made his children—Paris, Prince, and Bigi—wear masks whenever they appeared in public for years. Recently, Prince Jackson shared the reasoning behind this unusual practice.

“My dad spoke to me like an adult. He told us that the reason we wore masks was that he wanted us to have our own lives without him. I don’t think I ever considered whether other kids lived the same way. But when I found out who he was, I realized that it wasn’t normal. I remember being at Disneyland and going to a window where fans were waving and taking pictures of me. At that moment, I thought it was normal, so I just waved back,” Prince explained.

He also reflected on how he came to understand the extent of his father’s fame, especially when he saw footage of one of Michael’s performances where the crowd was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. He expressed understanding for his father’s unique parenting choices, noting that when he went out with his siblings without their father, nobody recognized them.

Prince Jackson has since graduated with a degree in business administration and founded a charity organization called Heal Los Angeles, focused on improving the lives of young people in the city.
