A mother fatally shot the man who was on trial for the murder of her seven-year-old daughter.
In 1980, Marianne Bachmeier decided to take matters into her own hands when she shot Klaus Grabowski, the man who killed her daughter, Anna. This happened while he was on trial for the murder of seven-year-old Anna Bachmeier, according to the Sun.

Klaus Grabowski eventually confessed to the terrible crime he committed and went to court to face the consequences of what he did.
Grabowski was taken into custody after his fiancée informed the police, which resulted in him admitting to the murder of the young girl.
There were also worries about possible sexual assault, but Grabowski said these claims weren’t true. Still, his past criminal history for child molestation made people very concerned.
Marianne Bachmeier, who was from Germany, thought that just putting her daughter’s killer in jail wasn’t enough punishment, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.
On March 4, 1981, while Grabowski was on trial, Bachmeier walked into the courtroom with a .22-caliber Beretta pistol and shot eight times, hitting Grabowski six times.

People who saw what happened said that Bachmeier talked about wanting to kill Grabowski and called him a “pig.” This led to Grabowski’s death, and now Bachmeier has to go to court for murder.
Bachmeier, known as Germany’s “Revenge Mother,” caused a lot of discussions about whether what she did was right or wrong. Some people felt sorry for her and understood her desire for revenge, while others thought her actions were against the law and not morally acceptable.
The court had to decide if what Bachmeier did was planned manslaughter or if it was murder.
In 1983, she was found guilty of planning to kill someone and got a six-year prison sentence, but she only spent three years behind bars before being let out.
Even though what she did was against the law, Bachmeier received backing from parents who understood her deep sadness and her wish for justice.
In 2022, a video of the courtroom shooting was posted on YouTube, bringing back a lot of attention to her story and sparking new conversations about her controversial actions.
One person shared their thoughts on Bachmeier’s actions, saying, “I really admire how the officers didn’t just jump on her or anything. They calmly lowered her arm instead. It seemed like everyone in that room was on her side.”
Someone else added, “When a mother loses her child, her anger is unstoppable. There’s no one braver than her in that moment.”
Another person said, “She seems really worn out emotionally. I wish that in her next life, or somewhere else, she can be with her daughter again. I can’t even begin to understand what she must be going through. She’s a true hero and made the right choice.”
