Whether he’s doing an on-stage set, appearing on a talk-show, or going to the gym, the comedian is always donning a black, often v-neck t-shirt.
Often, he’ll be a little more adventurous and opt for a long-sleeved version, but apart from that, he loves black t-shirts more than Steve Jobs loves turtlenecks.
With a reported net worth of $160 million (£127 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth, you’d think that he’d be able to afford to switch things up from time to time.
However, The Office star has ironically explained why he has always dressed the same.
Taking to Instagram with a picture of him wearing a black t-shirt (again) he wrote: “When I was really poor, I got so fed up having only t-shirts and old sweat pants to wear that I tried to make a suit out of curtains.

“Now I can afford to wear anything I want. I could have suits made for me.
“But I decided I prefer t-shirts and old sweat pants.”
Commenting on the admission, one fan quipped: “I made a suit out of a pair of curtains too, sometimes you just need to pull yourself together.”
Many others went and thanked Gervais for what he does for animals, thinking it could explain why he appears to dress very sustainably.
Last year, the comedian donated £1.9 million to animal charities raised from ticket sales from his Armageddon world tour.
This comes after the stand-up has said, on many occasions, that he genuinely prefers animals to humans.
During a 2023 appearance on The One Show, he brought along his German Shepherd dog Anti, who appears in his emotional After Life Netflix series.

“Honestly, nothing breaks my heart more than pets being separated from their owners,” he said.
“I can’t stand to think of an animal in discomfort, let alone hurt.
“Even the slightest bit of discomfort – I just can’t stand it. I want every animal to be as happy as Anti.”
“They’re just better than people. No offence,” he continued.
“They’re members of the family. They’ve got so much compassion. I mean, dogs do everything for us. They guard us, they guide us, they can smell cancer.
“They’re incredible. You couldn’t invent something as good as a dog. They’re amazing.
“And look at them, they’re perfect. What’s not to love?”

There’s plenty of ‘miracle’ anti-ageing products out there, but these gummies might just be worth the hype.
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a bit of a buzzword in the world of anti-ageing at the moment. Or you might have heard of the abbreviation NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). But don’t let those long and technical names put you off.
Both have quickly become a must-have with celebrities such as Joe Rogan, The Kardashians and Hailey Bieber reportedly big fans.
Orange County
And even though they’ve been hooking themselves up to NAD IV drips, there is a way for us to benefit from the supplement here in the UK and thankfully there are no needles or injections involved.
If you’re looking for an easy and tasty way to get some of the same benefits that the celebs have been getting, Orange County’s NMN Gummies have just hit the market. And when we found out that you could take what is thought to be ‘the miracle molecule’ in the form of gummies, we were certainly intrigued.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to take all their vitamins and supplements in gummy form?
Here’s what you need to know about the latest anti-ageing supplement and why it might be beneficial to you.
What is NMN?
First of all, it’s important to break down what NMN means and according to Healthline, “at specific doses, NMN supplements may help improve insulin sensitivity and heart function and reduce tiredness with few side effects.” But as with any supplement or vitamin that you might be thinking about taking, it’s a good idea to consult your GP or pharmacist before doing so.
NMN is a molecule that our bodies make naturally and while research is still ongoing, it is thought to help with brain and heart health, sleep, memory and a few chronic conditions.

And Orange County’s NMN Gummies make taking the supplement so much easier.
If you’ve ever struggled to swallow numerous chalky tablets as you try to take your daily vitamins and supplements, you’ll know how quickly that becomes rather off-putting and stops you from making it a part of your daily routine. Whereas, these mixed fruit-flavoured gummies definitely go down a lot easier.
The reason that the celebs have been flocking to try this particular supplement is the fact that it is reported to slow down the ageing process, with some claiming that it can slow down or reverse the natural signs of ageing such as hair thinning and loss and skin elasticity and firmness.
How much do the gummies cost?
The Orange County NMN Gummies are priced at £26.99 for a tub of 30 gummies. Or, you can save 20% on every order if you buy them via their subscription, making each tub just £21.59 or 80p a gummy.
And if you’re still not sure if they’re for you, they also have a 30 day money back guarantee, allowing you to try them out to see if you notice any difference to your overall energy levels and skin or hair.

Netflix must think we all need a bit more laughter in our lives with the way it’s churning out comedy specials.
Ricky Gervais‘ Armageddon landed on the streaming platform on Christmas Day and another comedian is hot on his heels with his own show.
Although he doesn’t appear scared of the competition, it seems Gervais is well aware of the old saying – keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
That’s because the 62-year-old is seemingly looking to forge an alliance with his comic rival from across the pond who could roar past him on Netflix‘s rankings.
He suggested that him and Dave Chappelle – who has just dropped his ‘freewheeling and unfiltered stand-up comedy special’ The Dreamer on the streaming platform – should ‘host the Oscars together’.
Gervais has already got experience thanks to earning the illustrious presenting gig at The Golden Globes a handful of times – although it’s his jokes behind the podium in 2020 for his final hosting stint that everyone remembers.

Likewise, Chappelle isn’t a hosting newbie either – as he can comfortably handle taking the reigns of the legendary US sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live.
The 50-year-old has already released six comedy specials – but his seventh, The Dreamer, focuses on his journey to stardom.
Chappelle has previously sparked controversy due to his jokes directed at the LGBTQ+ community during his 2021 special The Closer.
And Gervais’ comedy special Armageddon received a similar reception due to one of his gags about terminally ill children – even prompting people to launch a petition to get Netflix to remove it from the hour-long show.
But the Derek star has shared his belief that he and Chappelle would be the perfect duo to present this year’s Oscars in March.
Sharing a screenshot of the Netflix rankings showing Armageddon at number one and The Dreamer in second place, Gervais wrote in a post on X: “We should host the Oscars together.”

And some social media users were thrilled by the prospect, but others warned ‘they’d end up cancelling television’.
One person said: “Would be the highest television audience in history. Aliens in distant galaxies tuning in.”
Another wrote that they would ‘actually watch the Oscars if you did’.
A third added: “It would be the most watched but then they would have to close it down.”
And a fourth chimed in: “Oscars would go out with a bang. That would be the best TV ever.”

There’s been something of a backlash against Ricky Gervais after the release of his comedy special Armageddon on Netflix.
The comedian has been controversial for a long time but he’s made that part of his appeal, saying things ‘you’re not supposed to say’ and telling the audience his next joke is ‘too offensive’ and then saying it anyway.
For some people, there’s only so many times a comedian can claim they’re saying the things you’re not supposed to before they start to wonder if actually they’re not being all that edgy and daring after all.
Ricky Gervais: Armageddon faced backlash when it was released due to a joke he made about Make-A-Wish Foundation kids.
And when Gervais puts out a new comedy special and gets backlash for it, the negative response comes in several flavours.

Some prefer to suggest that Gervais was funnier when he had Stephen Merchant writing for him, and bring up that Karl Pilkington had the funniest moments of their work together.
While others point towards a routine comedian James Acaster performed as part of his Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 show, which he toured across the UK in 2018 and 2019.
“They say whatever they like, edgy comedians. No one tells them what they can and can’t say,” Acaster said, strutting across the stage in sunglasses.
“They walk straight on stage, top of their specials sometimes do 10 solid minutes slagging off transgender people. Straight out the gate making fun of transgender people.
“If people on the internet get upset about it the comedian’s always like ‘bad luck, that’s my job, I’m a stand-up comedian, I’m meant to challenge people, if you don’t like being challenged don’t watch my shows, what’s the matter guys, too challenging for ya?’.”

Acaster repeated this last line a few times before sarcastically adding ‘you know who’s been long overdue a challenge, the trans community’.
He joked that this historically persecuted group ‘had their guard down for too long if you ask me’, clearly not actually meaning it.
The comedian then told the audience he ‘used to name one of the comedians that was about in that routine’ but said it sometimes got ‘awkward in the room’ when he did.
He then joked that in 2019 when he was performing the gig, people were ‘more than happy to laugh at transgender people’ but he’d discovered they were ‘not as comfortable laughing at Ricky Gervais yet’.

At the end of one of his previous shows, SuperNature, Gervais spoke about his views on trans people.
He said: “Full disclosure: In real life of course I support trans rights. I support all human rights, and trans rights are human rights. Live your best life.
“Use your preferred pronouns. Be the gender that you feel you are. But meet me halfway, ladies. Lose the cock. That’s all I’m saying.”
Acaster once talked to The Independent about the clip, which does the rounds pretty much every time an ‘edgy’ comedian releases a new show.
He said he hoped that people wouldn’t just look to ‘brave little cis boys’ like him for commentary on transphobia from comedians.
Acaster went on to praise ‘so many brilliant trans comedians working today’ and said there were people who were ‘way more articulate and better than me’ at talking about the issue.

Ricky Gervais’ comedy special landed on Netflix on Christmas Day, giving fans a bucket load of laughs while they nursed a food coma and supped a glass of Baileys.
The comedian, 62, didn’t put a smile on everyone’s face with the content of his new show Armageddon though.
Before it was even released, a promo clip of his routine which included a controversial joke about terminally ill children and the Make-A-Wish Foundation sparked uproar.
Now viewers have had a chance to sit down and watch the funnyman do his thing, focus has fallen on Gervais‘ other jokes and who else he seemingly took a swipe at with his ‘taboo-busting’ comedy special about the end of humanity.
Fellow humorist James Corden ended up in the firing line – and as the punch line – in one of the After Life star’s elaborate wisecracks, and it’s not for the first time either.
The pair have taken aim at one another at lot over the years – but both insist it’s all a bit of fun – in their comedy sketches, such as when the Gavin and Stacey creator parodied Gervais’ infamous The Office character David Brent in 2009.
Armageddon might have just reignited this long-standing war of words though, as the 62-year-old took the opportunity to make the former The Late Late Show host the butt of his joke.

In the Netflix comedy special, Gervais explained he had found a website where dog lovers who hate to see animals get hurt in films and TV shows can check whether anything of that nature goes down in what they plan to watch.
Gervais told the crowd: “People love their dog so much, they won’t even watch a fictional thing where a dog gets hurt. And I get that! There’s a website, it’s a real website, it’s called doesthedogdie.com.
“It was set up because people would watch a film or a programme with a dog in it and something would happen to the dog and they’d turn it off. It would ruin it for them, it would ruin their day.
“So this website was set up, you could go to it you could put in any film or TV show and ask, ‘Does the dog die?’
“Someone would answer you, ‘No’, or whatever. It’s become a thing for anyone’s phobias. Anything you don’t want to see in a film, you just look up the film and they answer your question, right? I looked up one film on here – Schindler’s List.“
If you don’t know, Liam Neeson starred in the Academy-Award winning film that told the real-life story of Oskar Schindler, who saved the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust.

Gervais began to reel off a list of queries that had been left by people about the 1993 movie, saying: “First question: ‘Does a dog die?’ No. ‘Does a cat die?’ No. ‘Are any animals abused?’
“Someone answers, ‘There is a chicken that’s handled roughly but otherwise unharmed’.”
After littering a series of gags in his explanation of the bizarre site, Gervais pointed out that doesthedogdie.com was founded in 2010 and that the line of questioning has noticeably changed over the years.
He said: “The later questions start reflecting the times we live in now and they get more and more fragile and narcissistic. ‘Is there any fat jokes?’ Someone asks, ‘Is there hate speech?’ Yeah… suck it up buttercup.”
The comedian then added: “I asked one question myself on this… ‘Is James Corden in it?'”
The audience erupted into laughter, but I’m sure Corden might have had a bit of a different reaction if he tuned in to watch it yesterday – such as burying his head in a tub of Quality Street.
