At that point, they discovered a 1792-built post-and-beam barn situated on 28 acres of land. She was struck by the Berkshires’ natural beauty and tranquility, which she had first experienced in 1981 when attending the Berkshire Theater Festival. In 1993, after nearly five years, she made the decision to move permanently to the country.
Raising Nicholas in the tranquility of the Berkshires was the perfect environment. She felt that the modern Rudolf Steiner School in Great Barrington, which is renowned for its all-encompassing approach to education, would be the best place for him to flourish.
Nicholas grew up in the peaceful, rural Berkshires and eventually became passionate about food. He went on to pursue a profession as a chef, with his mother maintaining a continual source of support and encouragement.

A New Creative Outlet
